I set these Mini Goals as a way to to feel to overwhelmed about what I want to accomplish. So I have decided it is best for me to set small goals each week. It works for me, so it may work for others. So here are my mini goals for the week. Some of which I have already accomplished.
Mini Goals of the Week of March 9-15, 2012
- Track every day. So far this week I have tracked everything that has touched my lips. You have not idea how hard this is for me. To help, I have set alarms on my phone so that I can remember to track after every meal.
Exercise more other than my adult hip hop/jazz class. I haven't be able to cross this off my list since I started making these mini goals. So I am proud to say that I have already accomplished this this week. I finally returned to my Zumba class. I had a blast too. There is something that Zumba brings out in me; I don't know if it is the music/beats or the fact that I don't feel like I am working out.- Eat More Veggies and Fruits. Slowly but surely I have been doing this. For me this is hard, because (A) I don't like cooking for just myself, and (B) fruits and veggies are expensive. I guess I am just going to have to try harder over the upcoming weeks.
- Finish my next book. The Maze Runner. So I started this book on Sunday and I am already about halfway finished. It reminds me of Lord of Flies, but more involved. I still can't tell you what I truly think about this book. It raises a lot of questions about what it would be like to be forced to be in a place and not remember anything about yourself before. It is about survival. This book reminds of a cross between The Hunger Games and Lord of the Flies.
Book Review: One for the Money by Janet Evanovich
I know this picture to the left is actually the movie poster, but I read this book at an almost lightning speed. I have never read a book by this author; it was a wonderful way to introduced to Ms. Evanovich. This was a total page turner. I love that the main character, Stephanie Plum was the heroine of the story; she is fearless and crazy, but I love her all the same. The story is both very funny and full of at adventure. It is also full of crazy drama.
I can't wait to see what awaits our main character in next installments. I will definitely have to pick them one by one. I also am now ready to see the movie. I know that it probably won't do justice for the book, but I have learned when I am watching a movie that was previously a book, which seems to be happening a lot more these days, not to expect anything close to the book. For if I do, I will be disappointed.
Happy Reading everyone and have a fantastic Tuesday!!!
