# 15 Randomness

It has been like forever since I have posted something. My life has been really busy and I really haven't had time to write anything of any importance.

Since January, my New Year's Resolution has been to get myself healthier; to really do it for me and not for anyone else. I have hear d many people say that weight-loss was never going to happen unless I really wanted it to. No one person could help me unless I was truly ready and could help myself. I guess on January 1, 2010 I woke up a different person. I was tired of being the "fat girl" and tired of watching my little sister shop in the cute boutiques and me not being able to fit in all those cute clothes.

Ever since I was in middle school I have always been heavy. I have also have tried diet after diet. (Atkins, South Beach, Aspen Clinic, and Weight watchers.) This time around, on Weight Watchers, I am losing the weight slowly for me. To date, I have lost 9.4 pounds. On thursday, my 25 birthday, I will weigh in and hopefully, I will have made it to a loss of 10+ pounds.

This week I started to exercise. I am doing water aerobics and my Wii fit. We will see how it goes.

#14 Wicked

The book and broadway play is one of my favs. I just heard some of the most amazing scoop when I was looking on the web. Wicked is being made into a MOVIE. I am so excited.

For those who don't know what Wicked is about, it is the prequel to the Wizard of Oz. It is what happens before Dorothy landed in the land of OZ. The Wizard of Oz, which was made in 1939, is the first movie It starred Judy Garland. I ever remember seeing as a child. I watched it over and over again. I think i made my parents go crazy. In my college career as an art student I did many art projects where the Wizard of Oz was my subject matter. In the book and play, Wicked, audiences and readers learn how the Wicked Witch became green and "wicked."

Robert Downey, Jr. is rumored to be cast as the Wizard.

I will share more when I learn more.

#13 New Start

As the summer approaches, I can't help but feel that I need to shed some pounds. So this week, I have decided to start Weight Watchers and to begin really using my Wii/Wii Fit. Being from South Louisiana, the home of some of the best food, it will be hard to eat right. Lets just hope I can do it. I guess I need to put my New Year's Resolution to work. I am only 4 months late. My New Year's Resolution was to eat and be healthier. My goal, for now, is to loose 50 pounds all together. I want to feel better and have more energy. Since diabetes runs in my family, I hope to prevent that too.

#11 Eclipse Poster

I am really getting excited about the new Twilight Saga film...Eclipse. We, Twilight Fans, will have to wait till June 30, 2010 to see what happens next for Edward, Bella, and Jacob. Of course, if you read the books, you know what happens.

#10 Twilight Saga Mania

The Twilight Saga books and movies have launched the careers of their young stars. It has forced the world to choose Team Edward or Team Jacob. With the success of the book series many Vampire books have been produced and have become bestsellers. But I have to ask why?

I am one of those adoring fans of the books. One day, I was sitting in my painting class and one of my classmates was reading this thick book, before class began, and ask her what she was reading? She told me it was Twilight; she later explained to me what it was about and it sounded interesting. There had been many books about Vampires and I thought to myself, "what would be different about this one?" So when I got home after school that day, I googled it and Stephanie Meyer and it peeked my interest even more. After liking what I was finding about, I went to one of the local bookstores, Paint and Pen, and bought Twilight. I started reading the book that night after studying, and before I knew it, it was 3 am and I was almost finished the book. So needless to say, I was addicted. That weekend I went back to that bookstore and bought New Moon and Eclipse. (Breaking Dawn had not been released.) In the period of 2 days i finished both books. After reading all 3 books, I was hooked and couldn't wait for the 4th installment.

#8 The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks

Most of of the people that know me know that I love to read and that I am an avid reader. I have been keeping a book blog on my Facebook page. When I read, I feel as if I am stepping into a new world created by the authors; it is like stepping into a movie. I picture everything from what each character looks like to where the story is taking place.

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors. He has the ability to write some of my best stories that deal with love and loss, which is for the lack of a better word odd for a man. He has the ability to tell a story in such a way to make you want more. I love how he sets his stories around the same place, Wilmington, NC. I just finished reading his latest book, The Last Song. Although there was still the same themes that Sparks usually writes about, he kind of, for me, wrote about it in a new direction.

The Last Song was about 2 different stories about love. The first was about falling in love for the first time (Ronnie and Will) and the love between and father and his children. It was refreshing for him to concentrate on the bond between a father and his daughter, a relationship so important.

I can't wait for the movie.

Synopsis: From Nicholas Sparks' Website

Seventeen year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father… until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms – first love, the love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts… and heal them.

Now it is on to the next book whatever that may be.

#6 SAINTS IN SUPERBOWL

It is 2010. I can't believe that the New Orleans Saints are in the Super-bowl. I am proud to call them my team. They have done so much for the city of New Orleans especially since Hurricane Katrina, which devastated NOLA. There has been countless songs for this team that I hold dearly. Unlike some of the fans who have just jumped on the ban wagon. I have been a Saints fan for as long as I can remember; I don't ever remember not watching a Saints game on the Tv.

Because of the Saints being in the SUPERBOWL, it has brought a whole lot of money into the city of NOLA. Fans have gone into a spending frenzy when it comes to buying SAINTS memorabilia. This crazies are buying everything from signs to front pages of news papers to clothing and hats.
