It is the middle of the week again; aka Hump Day. I realize that I haven't been posting. That is because my freelance work has picked up a bit making my life a little bit crazier. So that is great.
As far as my weight loss journey: I am still tracking everyday. Trying to eat more veggies. However, I can tell that I am either about to get sick or with Pollen Season around the corner, my allergies are in full swing. Lets just hope that I can nick this thing in the bud before it is a full blown problem.
I have sort of been on a little bit reading frenzy. I finished 2 books in the series Across the Universe by Beth Revis. Also, I read The Vow. I also read the Jennifer Hudson book, I Got This. All of these books were fab. I believe I reviewed the Jennifer Hudson book already.
Across the Universe & A Million Suns
WOW!!!!! I never thought I would be into stories about space and the future. I absolutely loved this story and was completely surprised that I did. These kept me guessing throughout; there were unexpected twists and turns that were totally unexpected. Honestly, I think what kept me reading was the love story between Amy and Elder. I guess you can say I am a sucker for a good love story.
My advise to everyone thinking about reading this, all you have to do is reach the first chapter and you will be hooked.
The Vow
I first heard of this story when I saw some of the first movie previews that were shown at the movie theater. Then I started to do some research only because the phrase, "Based on true events," was on the movie screen. Then I was walking in Target and had to stop. Channing Tatum's and Rachel McAdam's faces were staring me in the face. So I bought it.
This true story was such an amazing one; it just goes to show you the power of true love and the power of prayer. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. The story of Kim and Kricket Carpenter was and still is amazing. The faith and relationships they have with God helped them get through a tragic ordeal. It is one thing to fall head over heals in love one time, but to do it twice with the same person is something entirely different. I couldn't imagine waking up one morning and not having a clue to how I met, dated, fell in love, got engaged, and got married to a person and not remember anything. I think it is amazing how Kim Carpenter stuck by his wife throughout it all not knowing what the outcome would be. He didn't know if his wife would ever remember him or love him.
