#138 Hump Day

It is that day in the week where it is evenly between weekends, which means there are two days till Friday. Today will also be an allergy filled day. This morning I couldn't put my contacts in so I wearing the specks; for some reason my eyes wouldn't work. So today I got my glasses on and my hair is in a ponytail with my braided bangs (I couldn't take my hair in my face today), but the day can only get better right.

Last night, I continued in my efforts to increase my activity. I did a 5K on my mom's treadmill; I did it in 53:21 (Min:Sec). It was my best time thus for, but I am 3 minutes 21 seconds from my time in the WW 5K. I need to shed some more time of my time. I think I would have been a lot closer to the WW time if my body hadn't just crapped out for the last 5-10 minutes. However, I did earn myself 4 activity points. On the treadmill, I stayed between 3.5-4.0 speed. I went down to 3.0 towards the end. I know I will do better next time.

Tonight I have Zumba; I couldn't be more excited. Now I just need to make this activity stuff a habit. I have been told that doing something for 6 weeks, it becomes a habit. Lets just hope I can keep it up for the next 5 weeks.

You may ask, why the sudden push to lose weight faster? Answer: I am not trying to lose weight faster by any means. I want to lose it the healthy way which is 1-2 pounds per week. Also, I am tired of being on the heavier side. I am ready to be done with it so that I can move on the something else. Granted I know that my weight struggles will be a lifetime thing. I know I will always have to watch what I eat and exercise for the rest of my life.

I am still reading The Kite Runner. This book is amazing and I am so glad that I finally decided to read it. It think everyone should try to read this.
