Mondays are never my favorite days of the week. (1) It is the first day of the work week; (2) I am not a morning person, repeat, I am not a morning person. I have never ever been a morning person. After a weekend of laying in my parents comfortable bed (it goes up and down like a hospital bed) reading and watching the Olympics in my pjs, I found it extremely hard to have to get up this morning. As I am sitting at my desk, drinking my morning cup of jo, I can't help but wish that I was sitting watching the Olympics.
I have the ability to multitask; in between reading and watching tv, I was also do some design work.

Things at my freelance co. have kind of picked up a bit. I mean not to the point where I am so busy that I am pulling my hair out, but to the point where I am getting to do what I love. So I guess that is good right?
Weight Loss
Last Thursday, I was excited to learn that I lost 2.8 pounds and got passed my plateau, but I hope I didn't totally blow it this weekend. I tracked but mostly what I did this weekend was sit in front of the tv. Except on Saturday, I had an itching to do some earn activity points, granted it wasn't much, but it was something. I walked/ran the treadmill for 20 minutes. I was able to 1.14 miles. I guess that was good timing. I need to really get back to exercising so that I can do good on my 5K in November.
I know women and men don't usually like to say what size they are, but I am so excited about what I am about to say. I have a pair of pants that are a size 10, but I don't ever remember ever fitting in a size 10, which is a huge accomplishment on my part to begin with. However, they still are a little snug but they are getting close to the point where I don't have to wear a loose fitting shirt with them. I think in a couple more pound I will be able to wear a fitted shirt with these particular pair of pants.
Reading
So last week, I read Bared to You, while waiting for the sequel to The Eternal Ones I come in. Bared to You is in the same genre as Fifty Shades of Grey. Now, it was very hard for me to admit that read the genre. Anyway, I couldn't put this book (Bared to You) down. As much as I enjoyed the 50 Shades series, this book had more character development and plot. Also, I felt this story is more realistic. So I now have to wait for the second installment of the series due out in October.
All You Desire is the sequel to The Eternal Ones. I guess I am a sucker for a good love story and you know I love the supernatural. So to have these two genres in one was like the jackpot. Below is my Goodreads review of All You Desire:
I guess I am sucker for a love story. This series is has gone above and beyond; Iain and Haven's love story has lasted for centuries. I couldn't imagine what these two have been through each lifetime to find each other. In the back of my mind, I can't help but hope that one day I will find someone who looks at me the way Iain looks at Haven. Whenever I finish a book series, I can't help but want more, and this one was no different. I know there is more to this story and I sure do hope there is more too this story. If you pick up this series, I can tell you that you won't be disappointed....Happy Reading Everyone!!!
I started reading Unspoken Abandonment. This book is a lot different than what I normally read. It is a memoir by veteran soldier Bryan A. Wood. I linked up his name to his Goodreads profile. His story is about his journey when her returned from Afghanistan. It is so moving and memorable; like nothing I have ever read. Truth be told, I haven't read anything like and I feel it is a must read for everyone.
