Before I delve into this week's news of my weight loss journey, I just have to say that my heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims of the shooting at the midnight viewings of the new Batman Flick. There are some sick individuals who go on rampages and killing sprees, but with all that aside. I know it isn't my place to be his judge and jury. There was obviously something extremely wrong with that young man. So like everyone else, I will be keeping an eye out for updates during the day.
Back to the subject at hand: I have to inform you all that I had a small gain this week. A little over a 1/2 a pound. It is not much, but I was only 2/10s a way from 35. It is a new week right and I get to start fresh. The past week has sort of been outside of my routine, since I have been house/dog sitting for my cousin, which I was glad to do. But come tomorrow, I will be back to my normal routine.
On Wednesday, I couldn't go to Zumba, so I tried the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I kid you not, I am still sore as ever and I just did Level 1. I found it lying around at my cousin's house. Although it was roughly a 30 minute work, it sure was intense. I am going to have to see if I could borrow this from them for about a month. Michael's is often is referred to as the "Toughest Trainer," and I can see why. From most of 30 minutes you are doing the exercises back to back without much rest. I am glad I decided not to try Level 2 first. WOW. My body is really aching for the second day in a row. I also did about 5 minutes of a Billy Banks's Taebo tape. (it was intense too, but I saw the Jillian Michael's DVD and had to try it.)
Good Luck to everyone and have a great weekend.
